In 2016 Melksham Rotary Club had 15,000 crocus bulbs to plant as part of the organisations 'Purple4Polio' campaign. An appeal was launched in Melksham Independent News for volunteers to help with this project, especially families. 5,000 were planted in St Michael's churchyard and the rest elsewhere in the town. Today they looked stunning on my walk round town, on this cold but beautiful sunny day.
