Bloom in Melksham volunteers and the Town Council have been working with students from Lackham College to create a wildflower meadow in the town.
The seeds, provided by the Bloom committee were planted up by students at Lackham College, who have fed and watered them over the last 6 weeks or so. The 600 plug plants are now ready for planting. Wiltshire Council has kindly given permission for the wildflowers to be planted on their land, adjacent to Clacker's Brook (by The Woody) for all to see and enjoy. Volunteers will be planting them out this Friday 18th May from 6pm onwards. If you have an hour or so to spare they would love to see you there - Melksham Town All the above items were exhibited at today's Tidy Town meet at the Town Hall and are, incredibly, made from 100% recycled plastic bottles. Visit Ma Maison at Melksham's Littlebrook Centre for further details.
