Bloomers Tavern Garden looks as if going to new owners, work going on inside and rear gardens this week....
As well as the Town being judged last Friday, Avon Bowls Club had their judging day, having entered in the SWIB Commercial, Leisure and Tourism category. Stephen Faulkner has done a fabulous job this year with the flower beds and buildings around the grounds. Like us, it's a nerve racking wait until October for the results. I have followed their progress this year, see photo album link below.
Prior to judging this morning with the SWIB Judges - left to right Bloomers Linda De Santiz & Vanessa Fiorelli, Cllr Mayor Jon Hubbard, SWIB Judges Ian and Tony, SWIB Melksham Chair Kathy Iles, Town Crier Peter Dauncey and Bloomer Terri Welch.....
SW In Bloom judging day is here and Melksham looks so beautiful in the sunshine. We’ve got medieval flags in the Market Place, artwork on the tidied up Tavern, a wildflower meadow with bug hotel, newly painted street furniture phone and post boxes, a new community garden and a 3D planted bee 🐝.
I am so proud to lead such a fantastic team of volunteers and work so closely with the Town Hall team. Together we help make people happy, and in return we too are happy. I hope the RHS judges like what they see today, but regardless of our actual award, we all feel like gold medal winners in our hearts. GOOD LUCK MELKSHAM 🏆 |
