Queen Mary Garden - beautifully maintained by the MTC Horticultural team.
Excerpt from the Wiltshire Times 30/4/1955
"The garden has been made from a small piece of spare ground at the entrance to King George's Field.
With crazy pathing and the profusion of hydrangeas, rhododendrons, fuchsia and polyanthus growing there it forms an attractive beauty spot in the centre of town.
About 200 people were present at the opening, which was performed by Mr L J Noad, Chairman of the Urban Council.
