This afternoon we had a wonderful first Town Tidy Day since before lockdown began.
Our new safe and socially distanced event was attended by 18 lovely, keen volunteers who covered many areas in town including King Street carpark, Prince of Wales Garden, Iceland carpark, Avon Place, Riverside Walk, KGV, Littlebrook Centre, Melksham House and the forecourt of The King’s Arms, filling more than a dozen large black sacks full of rubbish and weeds. Thank you everyone!
Future Town Tidy Days will be held on the first Sunday of every month from 1-3pm, meeting outside the Town Hall for registration. Once registered, volunteers will be covered by the Town Hall’s volunteer insurance.
Litter pickers, refuse bags and rings will be provided, but please bring your own gloves and any other equipment you may prefer to use. Please dress for the weather and working conditions and bring a drink. All ages and abilities welcomed.
